Auburn Montgomery Alumni Association Graduate Study Merit Scholarships are awarded annually to deserving graduate students at AUM. The scholarships are for $500 for fall semester and an additional $500 for spring semester. Recipients must maintain a graduate GPA of 3.4 or higher, enroll in and complete at least nine hours each semester and be continuously enrolled for the two semesters covered by the award.

Alumni Professorship

The Alumni Association sponsors an alumni professorship to recognize outstanding AUM faculty. To be eligible for this honor, faculty must have ten or more years of full-time service at AUM. The person appointed Alumni Professor serves a three-year, non-renewable term with an annual salary supplement of $2,500.

Nominations may be made by AUM faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. Letters no more than two pages in length should emphasize teaching excellence as well as a strong record of publication and research. A vita may be attached, if available.

The winner of this award is chosen by a seven-member selection committee which consists of three members of the AUM Alumni Association board of directors appointed by the president of the Association; two full-time faculty appointed by the president of the AUM Faculty Council; a dean appointed by the vice chancellor for academic affairs; and a department head appointed by the president of the AUM Department Heads Council.
